CTX Corporate One
A new account tier, built for large-scale carbon buyers & sellers.
Free to open
No setup fee and no minimum balance to establish a Corporate One account.
A low fixed fee per credit
Not our standard percentage-of-trade rate — built for the economics of high-volume trading.
Invitation only
Corporate One is not a self-serve sign-up — every account is opened on referral or direct invitation from CTX.
Accept your invitation this September and you can nominate three of your major buyers or suppliers per quarter to receive their own free Corporate One account, on the same terms — extending these rates through your own trading relationships.
Per Quarter
The world’s first — and still largest — global spot exchange for voluntary carbon credits
Carbon Trade eXchange connects buyers and sellers of verified carbon credits in one central, electronic marketplace, with over 18 years of seamless, uninterrupted, no-default, 24/7/365 operations.
Built to take the risk out of carbon trading
- No counterparty risk: one Continuous Trading Contract, part of the CTX Rules, replaces individual ERPAs — no paperwork per trade.
- Direct from source: registry accounts across the world’s leading registries, with direct links to project documentation.
- Global and flexible: anonymous buyer/seller trading in GBP, USD, EUR & AUD, with built-in FX settlement — 100-tonne minimum, no maximum.
- Transparent: an open fee structure and no hidden broker margins or hybrid credit units.
The UNFCCC’s trading partner for CDM CERs
CTX is the only exchange linked to the UNFCCC CDM Registry — a linking arrangement live since 2017 — and is publicly named as a partner on unfccc.int, offering wholesale CER cancellations to businesses, corporates and institutional buyers.
How the platform works
Issued & escrowed
Verified credits are issued by the standard, escrowed in the registry and listed on CTX.
Offer & bid
Sellers list offers; buyers hit offers or post bids — anonymously, around the clock.
Matched
Bid and offer are matched under the Continuous Trading Contract.
Cleared T+0
Bank clearing and settlement, with funds moved instantly between CTX accounts.
Transfer or retire
Credits move to the buyer’s registry account, or CTX retires them and issues an offset certificate.

Built for the market’s largest buyers & sellers
An exclusive, invitation-only CTX account for large, high-quality project developers and suppliers and major corporate, institutional and broker buyers — swapping percentage-based fees for a low fixed fee per credit.
Why a fixed fee per credit matters
| Standard CTX Membership | CTX Corporate One | |
|---|---|---|
| Account opening | £1,990 / US$2,500 in year one (corporates) | Free — no setup fee, no minimum balance |
| Trading fees | 2% buyer · 5% seller, charged on trade value | A low fixed fee per credit, per side |
| As prices rise | Fees rise with credit price and trade value | Fee per credit is unchanged — known before you trade |
