European Environmental Markets (EEM) has acquired the exclusive global license to develop and operate all environmental exchange technology from Global Environmental Markets (GEM), an exchange technology developer.
The agreement means that EEM will operate the Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) voluntary emissions exchange platform worldwide, initially managing the global client base from its London headquarters. It will also apply that technology in other environmental commodity markets around the world.
EEM acquired the GEM license for Europe in September 2015, since when it has worked with Carbon Trade Exchange Holdings Pty Limited to support clients using the CTX voluntary https://modafprovig.com carbon exchange platform under a joint-license arrangement. That license recently ended and EEM agreed to take on the full global license.
The European market has responded incredibly well to EEM’s clear, simple approach, based upon advice from a well-respected team with deep expertise in sustainability and the environmental markets. As the sole operator of the CTX platform worldwide, we intend to extend our high level of service to a global client base and to improve the platform’s functionality and business model with the intention of making the exchange an even more popular trading destination.
